Who We Are?

LuzCraft was born from the love of handmade art and the desire to honor traditions that carry both soul and history. In a world dominated by mass production and speed, we choose to slow down and create with patience, respect, and meaning. Every piece is made not only to be beautiful, but to tell a story of hands, heritage, and craftsmanship.

Behind LuzCraft there is more than one pair of hands. We are a collective of women artisans who share the same vision: to preserve the beauty of what is handmade. From decorative candles to crochet and embroidery, each of us brings our own history, skills, and creativity. Together, we transform simple materials into unique objects that carry identity, culture, and love.

Dayni - Founder

I created LuzCraft as a tribute to the true value of what is handmade. My love for craftsmanship was born in Havana, Cuba, during my childhood. I still remember watching a pottery documentary and turning to my mother to say: “That’s what I want to do.”

That spark was nurtured by my aunt, to whom I dedicate this project. She taught me to treasure artisanal work and was the one who first placed yarn and needles in my hands, showing me how to weave with patience, creativity, and heart.

LuzCraft also honors the thousands of artisans around the world whose work often goes unnoticed, yet whose creations hold immeasurable cultural and human value. Each piece reflects that heritage—crafted not by machines, but by hands, heart, and tradition

Rebeca – Crochet Artisan

Rebeca, the creator of our handmade crochet bags, began her journey many years ago while preparing the layette for her children. With time, she rediscovered her passion for crochet and started making ponchos, woven earrings, and other unique pieces. She became part of the artisan community in Cuba, showcasing her work at various fairs, including the renowned Havana Cathedral Fair.

She earned her official Weaver Certificate after completing studies at El Quintín.

After immigrating to the United States, Rebeca continued her path as an artisan, sharing her work for many years at the well-known Coconut Grove Arts Festival.
